PFL 2025 World Tournament One to Watch: Kevin Lee
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship title challenger Kevin Lee made headlines when he signed with the Professional Fighters League and was immediately inserted into the lightweight semifinals at PFL 2025 World Tournament 6 this Friday at Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas. Although he did not have a first-round fight in the competition, he becomes one to watch to win the entire tournament.
The task will not be easy.

After his departure from the UFC, Lee went on to compete in the Eagle Fighting Championship and Lights Out Championship promotions. More importantly, he has allowed his body to heal from multiple injuries. Throughout his entire tenure in the UFC, Lee called for a fight against the undefeated Khabib Nurmagomedov—the man who coaches Rabadanov.
Lee has flashed some dangerous striking during his career, including a highlight-reel head kick knockout of Gregor Gillespie in 2019. Most of his victories, however, have come via submission, and his wrestling remains one of his best tools. Theoretically, Lee should have a matchup with Rabadanov that showcases exactly where his game stands. Lee’s name value alone makes him appointment viewing, as he looks to find out where he fits at this stage of his career. There can be no greater test than Rabadanov, who has established himself as a force in every way possible. He now rides an 11-fight winning streak across various organizations, including the PFL and Bellator MMA.
Now 32, Lee was not just signed by the PFL to be a household name. He wants to reshape his legacy, and while a substantial cash prize awaits the winner of the lightweight tournament, “The Motown Phenom” also wants to re-establish himself among the sport’s best at 155 pounds.
