UFC Vegas 108 will have a new headliner this Saturday.

The promotion announced on Monday that Amir Albazi has withdrawn from a proposed flyweight main event against Tatsuro Taira due to an undisclosed injury. As a result, “Road to UFC” flyweight winner Hyun Sung Park will step in and face Taira in the evening’s new featured bout.

UFC Vegas 108 — also known as UFC on ESPN 71 — takes place on Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The main card airs on ESPN and ESPN+ at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT, while prelims begin on ESPN and ESPN+ at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT.

'Road to UFC' Winner Gets Big Opportunity

Park was initially tabbed as a replacement opponent for Steve Erceg at UFC on ESPN 72 on Aug. 9 before receiving the headlining opportunity. The South Korean has been victorious in his first three Octagon appearances, finishing Seung Guk Choi, Shannon Ross and Carlos Hernandez inside the distance. “Peace of Mind” is undefeated in 10 professional outings overall.

Taira suffered his first loss in 17 professional appearances this past October, when he fell to Brandon Royval via split decision in the UFC Vegas 98 headliner. The 25-year-old Japanese prospect began his promotional tenure with six consecutive victories, including a finish of former title challenger Alex Perez in his first main event last June. Taira has finished 12 of his 16 wins inside the distance.

Albazi, meanwhile, returned after more than a year absence at UFC Edmonton, where he dropped a unanimous decision to ex-flyweight king Brandon Moreno. That snapped a six-bout winning streak for “The Prince,” who has bested the likes of Kai Kara-France, Alessandro Costa, Francisco Figueiredo, Zhalgas Zhumagulov and Malcolm Gordon in the Octagon.
